Moms of 2, or Moms pregnant with #2

I want to know how much I will be pushing my luck if I try to wait and say anything about #2 until I am 16-17 weeks to my work...A proposal is finally being submitted tomorrow for me for a title change/pay and I dont want them to screw me over because I am KU. I know legally they cannot do that, but they have done some jacked up crap before....It would be a substantial change in pay, so I really dont want to mess this up...

I definitely started showing sooner with #2. I told my coworkers around 14 weeks, and none of them suspected anything up until that point, so I wonder if the paranoia was more in my mind

I'm 13 and half weeks right now and still very comfy in my pre-Emma jeans. My upper tummy is pooching out a little from all the fat being pushed up but I don't think it looks at all like a baby bump so I would say you might be able to get away with it, especially if you're not too thin or wear lose clothes and can be good at avoiding people. It might start to get harder the closer you get though...

I had a tooooon of bloat with #2 really early on. But, if I recall, it was before/right around where you are now, and then it subsided and I actually was smaller throughout the preg with #2 than with #1. Depending on what you wear/how much you interact w/ your coworkers, there's a good chance of you pulling it off...

I didn't wear maternity jeans until almost 20 weeks with my second pregnancy - just used a belly band. I'm pretty thin and looked like I had a little tummy, but not pregnant. You'll probably be fine!

i think it depends how you carry. i wasn't really showing that early though.

Thank you ladies! I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thankfully I am about 30lbs less than I was when I got pregnant with Avery. My biggest concern is right about the time of my BFP everyone was commenting on my weight loss, so I feel self conscious like any gain will be noticed.... I feel like my bloat is a lot less than last time, so I am hoping I can make it!

I told work at around 11 weeks because I just busted in the bathroom puking my guts out. A co-worker heard me in the next stall and after asking if I was okay then asked are you expecting? I can't remember when I started showing. I carried A very differently from D. With D I just looked fat....carried everywhere. With A I had a huge belly all in the front.

I was already in my mat jeans at 9w with #2, but i also gained 60lbs with him...yikes. You dont have to tell anyone anything!!!! Its your business!!!

I feel like I was showing a lot sooner but if you're just careful about your clothing you should be fine. I also carried very differently with both pregnancies. With DD I was just a big ball of yuck and didn't look pregnant at all. With DS I carried out in front and actually got to look pregnant.

I think you should be ok. I contractually had to tell my principal and hr by 20 weeks but now at 24 I still haven't told all the teachers. Most days it looks like I've had 1 too many beers.
