Baby Showers

What's your hostess gift? (I tried to use search but failed)

I tried to use the search box, but for some reason I must not be doing it right or just too impatient to keep trying!  haha

Just wanted to know what ya'll were giving for your hostess gift.  I need some ideas.  I apparently have about 6 hostesses (yikes) - help please!

  • One of my really good friends and my mom are hosting mine.

I'm getting my mom a card, a grandma picture frame and a nice shirt with earrings (clothes have always been a big gift between her and I so its kind of tradition) For my friend I'm taking her to lunch and we are getting pedicures after. She has a little girl who always says "duck duck duck duck" and I've been collecting cute little rubber ducks the last few months to give to her daughter.

Since you have quite a few hostesses I would keep it simple, but definitely make it something personal to each of them. I'm huge on personalizing things like that. Hosting a shower or a party for someone is a lot of work.

I haven't had my baby showers yet, but I did give hostess gifts for my bridal shower.  For my Mom's shower - I went to a little gift shop and got my Mom two pictures that she hung in her kitchen.  And I got my sisters, pretty little trays that you'd use to put your jewelry in.  For my MIL's shower - I send my MIL flowers, which she loves getting, and got my SIL a GC for a pedi/mani.

  • I got customized keychains or necklace for my mom and friend who are hosting the shower. This is the seller I used on Ebay: https://www.etsy.com/shop/buttonit.  https://www.etsy.com/transaction/79748217They customized it with our little guys name on it (which is yet to be revealed) as well as their relation to him (grandmother, godmother). I thought it would be a fun way to reveal the name to the ladies that have put in so much work and time. It looks amazing and sells for about $20 bucks.

  • I sell Mary Kay on the side and my hostesses are all customers too.  So I am taking a couple of their favorite, most purchased items and giving them to them in a goody bag :)
  • I'm making 4 of these for one hostess, and will probably package it up with a cute tea towel and a thank you card.

Another hostess loves wine so I'm going to make her a little basket with one or two bottles of wine, some gourmet crackers, spiced nuts, and maybe something sweet like chocolate or candy of some kind.

  • My 2 friends are hosting. I know they have a tradition of going to this one restaurant together about once a month, so I'm giving them a $50 gift card to there. I wasn't sure on how much to spend but figure $25 each is somewhere in the not too little, not too much range.
