Well, I'm new here, but figured I'd post. Today's my second day back to work, so it's crazy. It's also DH's first full day watching E and he's not having a great time because I accidentally messed up her feeding schedule. And I'd like to think she also just misses her momma.

Other than that, just trying to adjust to life as a mom, not a girl that wants to be a mom but is terrified it will never happen. It's weird. And amazing.

We're also moving, but only to a town 20 minutes away, so I don't think it counts. And DH insists he won't move until September because he's a meanie.

We're in the process of buying our first house. We had the inspection this past Saturday and there were a few electrical issues and mold in the attic So we've asked the sellers to fix both issues and we're waiting to hear back. Hopefully, they agree to fix them otherwise we're walking away. It's so stressful!

On another note. Two of my close friends just found out they are pregnant and another is going through IF treatments. Another is 14 weeks pregnant and I'm missing it so much. I would love to start TTC right now. It was so hard to go through the first time but somehow I miss it. And I miss being pregnant! But DH wants to wait another year

I love hearing updates from everyone!

I am loving every minute with my growing boy. I love watching him play and feeding him solids is so fun.

I'm going back and forth between wanting another one soon (so they'll be close in age) and putting it off for a few years. The OOP cost of additional IVF cycles is daunting to me right now.

We have an insanely busy summer (I have ONE free weekend from now until the middle of August) so all the events should be joyous and keep us busy. Secretly I'm thrilled for an excuse to buy DS tons of adorable outfits. Wink

I am enjoying my last week as a SAHM. I return to work on Monday. Full time. I tried and tried to find part-time but that's hard to find as an attorney. At least this is in-house so no billable hours. I got some contract work but it was so inconsistent. I would get tons of work and then nothing.

This is very bittersweet. I never intended to be a SAHM. This has been the best year of my life, but I need to get back to work. I know Vivi will be well taken care of by my mother and part-time daycare but I'll miss her. She is such a fun little girl.

The positive (if I have to find one) is I'm lining up contractors to come in and give us estimates on our basement re-do and landscaping projects. I've already spent my first few paychecks.

That's big news! Congrats on the job! Sorry that your time as a SAHM is ending, but Vivi will do great:)

I'm trying to post more and have been lurking for a while so I enjoy reading all the updates! I've missed people posting here since moving over to FB too so this is nice to "catch up" with everyone:)

I started back to work full-time last week. I had been working part time since returning to work in late January. It's been kind of nice to catch up on things at work but I'm struggling with the idea of not seeing DD more often during the week. I realized last week that when DC #2 comes around my paycheck will be totally used up with paying for daycare so I'm trying to figure out what to do then- SAH or continue to work. Depending on the day you'll get a different answer:P We want to do FET next summer though.

DD is amazing. She just turned 6 months old and I have no idea where the time went. She's so curious and such a squirmy girl now. Diaper changes are a challenge now but she's so fun! She is so happy all the time. We're also trying to do sleep training. I think she's teething though so it's hard to stick to it when she's just in pain cause of that:(

As for home life, we've just been doing stuff around the house and spent the better part of last weekend doing the landscaping out front. DH just bought a huge movie screen thing so we're going to try to do outdoor movies this summer with friends. I've been seeing party ideas where ppl turn cardboard boxes into cars for kids to sit in to watch movies and SO want to do that when DD gets older:)
