1st Trimester

1st baby...still a little unbelievable.

My husband and I just got married a month ago, and are blessed with a honeymoon baby. It's still a little unbelievable. I mean I've taken 3 tests and they all have been positive but it's still a little unbelievable to me. Just because I still have symptoms but otherwise there is no proof. Anyone else having a hard time believing they are pregnant?

Re: 1st baby...still a little unbelievable.

  • I am pregnant with twins through IVF and it has been a long road. They take an early ultrasound at 5 weeks and I saw the sacs. I go tomorrow to hear the heartbeats but until then, I don't feel pregnant and it is worrying me. I am 6 weeks 4 days along and no morning sickness. My chest hurts and I am bloated but my progesterone supplement can also cause that. I have been hungry and peeing more but really that is it. I won't believe it until I hear those heartbeats tomorrow.

  • This is my second child and I am still in disbelief that I am pregnant.  I am tired and had a few bouts of nauesea but other then that I don't believe it.

My first appointment isn't until June 12th. It seems like ions aways!

  • 1st baby for me too, we have been trying for 8 years.  I'm almost 11 weeks, and I still can't believe it.  I've really had minimal symptoms, so that always freaks me out.  I won't hear the heartbeat until 13 weeks.... maybe then I will finally believe it!

  • I feel the same way!  I know the tests were positive and I know conceptually that "I'm pregnant" but I don't "feel" pregnant.  Even with the symptoms I have (cramping, lower back pain, peeing a lot), I just can't believe (in a good way!) that there is a baby growing inside me! I think I'm going to be really happy when I start to show and can actually feel the baby moving around - it'll make it seem more real.

Yes! I think once I hear the heartbeat I will feel more pregnant. I don't have a lot of symptoms so it's still hard to believe it. I took pregnancy tests for like two weeks when I first found out lol.

I feel this same way! We conceived on our very first try, so I'm still trying to wrap my head around that fact. I'm definitely queasy and fatigued, but they're feelings I've had before. Just not this consistently.

We told my sister and brother-in-law this weekend, which made it more real. When we tell our parents on Mother's Day, I think it will really hit home! Exciting!

We conceived our first try too!  I think that's definitely adding to the "we can't believe it" factor.  We blabbed to a lot of people when we found out this past Sunday.  But I'm a talker and just couldn't hold it in Smile

  • Yeah we got pregnant first try too. My first symptoms were my boobs hurting badly, peeing a lot, and I was of course late. I got my first bit of morning sickness this morning, but otherwise I don't feel any different. I'm only about 4.5 weeks along. We've told all our families but it's still a bit unbelievable. I don't get insurance till monday when I start work so I don't know when I'm going to have an appointment.

it took us two years to get pregnant (in fact, i got my BFP the month we were going to start IVF!), and after two weeks of INSANE nausea, i'm not having all that many symptoms right now, so i'm also having a hard time believing there's something going on in there.

i have all kinds of fears about m/c, so wish the next four weeks to go by faster so i can stop worrying so much about it. maybe after 1st tri is over i'll feel more relaxed?

  • Me because we got pregnant on the first time!  With LO #1 it took almost a year!
