You know life is busy when the hospital sounds like vacation

As is everyone else at this poin in pregnancy, I am sooo ready to meet this little lady and move on to a new phase of life (she will be our last)

But now that I am on maternity leave and home with my 22 month old and 4 year old..the hospital feels like it will be a vacation. I know what to expect in terms of recovery and labor..as I had two long, med-free births....however, I know I am tired when that seems like a walk in the park over taking these kiddos to their music and movement class.

Siggghh.

haha... I said this the other day when our 21 month old was having a meltdown and I was trying to cook dinner and had laundry to fold.  I said 5 days in the hospital with no meals to cook, dishes to wash or laundry to do sounds like a vacation to me!

Haha! I said the exact same thing to my husband last night. :)

  • You're telling me. I run a home daycare and my hospital stay and maternity leave feels like a restful vacation at this point. Looking forward to it!

  • I feel the same way, but I know when I'm there I'm going to be anxious to leave. I hate staying in the hospital, it's just not as comfortable as home.

  • Ha I totally know what you mean! I have c/s deliveries and so spend four nights in the hospital with my last two kids. I have a 2 1/2year old and a 1 1/2 year old and have been on moderate bed rest (ha ha) but I still have to chase my kids around, so I keep telling DH I can't wait until my third night in the hospital. The first two nights the nurses are constantly bothering me, but the third night, I only have to wake up when baby's hungry, so that sounds like a vacation to me!
