rock n play to crib transition?

My LO is addicted to the rock and play. He will not sleep soundly anywhere else, including the crib. He wakes up in the crib but sleeps through the night in the rock n play. Anyone have any suggestions for a transition ? I think he might be sleeping in it til he's 10 years old. lol

I recently posted this too! He only wakes once in the night in his RnP, but I'm afraid to find how it will change when we transition to crib.

i know this can be a controversial thing, but have you tried putting LO in the crib on his/her tummy?? My baby wouldn't sleep in anything but the rock n play until recently. she was outgrowing it and wasn't comfy anymore. I started putting her to sleep in the crib on her tummy and she loves it. She has great head control and can pretty much roll over both ways so I'm not worried about SIDS.

We just did itcold turkey and he did a lot better than i thought. We've moved him into the RnP if he wakes up more than notmal but for the most part he is doing great. I think he likes all the new found freedom of the crib. He rolls onto his aide as soon as i put him down. I try to roll him back but he usually just rolls right on to his side again. Maybe start the night in the RnP and when he's really out, try moving him.

We just moved our daughter to her crib from the rock and play last Monday. But, what I did was try to tansition her to the crib by having her take her naps during the day on her crib first. Then, a couple weeks later we started the nightime in the crib. The first night she was restless. But, since then she's been sleeping about 10 hour stretches in it at night. I am EBF'ing. We also do a bath each night and a long nursing session before bed, and use white noise. Good luck!

This. We went cold turkey on Friday with all naps and sleeping. He slept through the night - truly (7:30 - 5:30) for the first time last night.

We didn't use an RnP, but did move her from the cosleeper in our room to her crib in her room. We tried occasional naps in the crib for the week, which weren't great (she woke up much sooner than she would have in cosleeper), and then just put her in the crib one night and started. We made a deal that if she wakes up in the middle of the night we just move her to the cosleeper (so we aren't screwing up our own sleep), but she's only done that once.
