I do! I love it! It's overall less expensive because one 5lb bag of flour goes a long way and makes quite a few loaves. And all I do is add the ingredients to the machine, turn it on and let it do it's thing until it beeps at me that it's done.
Edited: It probably costs me anywhere between $0.53 to $0.89 a loaf depending on what kind of bread I make. I'd say that's way cheaper than picking one up at the grocery store.
I've never calculated the cost, but we love our bread machine. The bread from it is awesome! It's not that time consuming bc you throw the ingredients in and your good to go.
I love our bread machine! I've never calculated it, but a 5lb. bag of flour only costs a little more than a loaf of the bread we used to buy (less than $2 more), and makes at least 3 loaves of bread. I get to control what goes into my food, and save money!
I absolutely recommend getting a good bread machine cookbook if you like different sorts of bread. The one I got, The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook, is great because it has a whole section on basics of using a machine and then has so many different recipes you will never get bored! It does stray into territory that is way too complicated to use a machine with, but most recipes are fairly easy. I make a Toasted Sesame Whole Wheat bread and a white bread with sour cream from that book all the time, and just tried a White Whole Wheat bread that is yummy too.
Oh, and my machine takes from 3.5 hours to 4 hours to do one loaf of bread, but it's entirely hands-off. 15 minutes to load the machine, and then you don't touch it until it beeps "done."
I PPH my bread machine. So easy to use (think "set it and forget it") and you can't beat the taste!

I tried...and failed. I couldn't get the texture I wanted with the machine.
So I learned to make it by hand. I have a post in my blog about it if you want to see the recipe. It tastes super yummy and is pretty fool proof.
