Re: pressure and va jay jay pain?

  • I definitely had those pains when I was pg with DS.  I think I've heard it referenced as lightning crotch.  I think it is very normal with everything growing and moving around in there.

I had these pains with my last pg as well.  My doctor always told me that they were normal, but to try and sit or rest when you feel them a lot because there is just extra pressure in the pelvis with the growing baby.

  • It sounds like similar pain I had/have.  Starting around 12 weeks, I would get pains down there (like someone poking me with a needle).  I went to the doctor two different times because it was freaking me out.  Doctor did a cervix check both times and everything was okay.  He said it's due to round ligament pain and can be completely normal.  I find that when I do more, it starts to come back.  I'm a teacher, so I've tried sitting more and drinking more water.  Hang in there!!
  • I have been having those pains for months now! I seriously now am to the point I feel like my legs want to split off at my va jay jay! I am 26 weeks with boy/girl twins. I never had this with any other pregnancy so I was assuming it was because there's two babies. I have since talked to many women who are having the same thing and only having one baby. It just feels like an extreme amount of pressure. My lady parts are swollen too. My cervix is still closed and long though and my high risk ob says all is well with me and the babies.

So all I can suggest is finding ways to help relieve the pain at times. I try warm baths and tylenol. Resting a lot helps too. Doesn't make it go away but helps give me some temp relief!
