I guess this is a spin off of the post below regarding your timeframe for continuing to TTC. I was surprised to see a couple posts with recurrent losses after a successful pregnancy. I'm have 2 DS (17.5 months apart) and that have had 3 consecutive losses in the last 2 years while TTC #3. We had no problems conceiving my first 2 (both within 3 months of TTC).
Just wondering, (if you don't mind me asking) are you seeing a RE? If so, what "treatment" options are you following?
I have my first RE appointment on Monday. My OB ran very basic testing but not on specific cycle days, and everything came back "normal." Prior to my losses, my cycles were like clock work and now I O at various times in my cycle and have started spotting before AF (O around CD 20-22, spotting 5-7 days later).
Anyway, just wondering what everyone else was doing.

The last visit I had with my OB (who is a fertility specilist, does everything but IVF) thought it might be worth our while to get a second opinion with an RE.
We haven't yet. I love my OB like a family member, and I don't feel ready to leave his office yet since we haven't *really* done much in the way of treatment. We've only been doing Femara + TI, so once I have my surgery in a few weeks we'll get more serious, up my meds and talk about IUI most likely.
I'm just scared that the RE is just going to tell me I need IVF and be done with me. We can't afford that, and since I have gotten pg 3 times on my own now, I just don't feel like I'm there yet.
From what my OB told me, the fact that I already have a healthy baby doesn't exclude me from possible miscarriages, since the most common reason is chromosomal abnormalities. That can happen just as easily on baby #1 as it can on baby #5. It's just the luck of the draw, so to speak. Complete random fluke, and they told me the chance of it happening again is low (I know that doesn't make you {or I} feel any better about it).
Seeing an RE is never a bad idea, IMO. We just aren't quite ready for that yet.
I will be turning 34 in late June.
My OB also didn't refer me...I decided to go after being told everything is normal and this is "bad luck." I think I'm more going to a RE for a second opinion and to see if there are any options.
