December 2012 Moms

I feel awful!

So nauseous, can't use the bathroom, and not throwing up....so I just feel sick and can't do anything about it! :(

I was trying to not take medicine but I may need some zofran.... This sucks! All for the baby right??

Re: I feel awful!

  • As per my OB/GYN, nausea is a good thing...it sort of tells you that your body is producing all the right hormones to preserve the pregnancy (her words, not mine) . I have had nausea since week 4, but its been getting better. It used to be all day, but now its only at night or when I smell something that by body decides is offensive. Hang in there...If its really bad, zofran may give you some relief. Feel better and enjoy the journey!!

  • That definitely is reassuring... I'm sipping ginger tea now hoping it will ease me so I can go to sleep. Thanks again!

  • I'm in the same boat.

I caved and asked for the prescription. They couldn't give me Zofran, so I have another, It kinda helps but it causes drowsiness, so I don't take it before/during work. Which makes it pointless.

  • Yeah I definitely don't need to be drowsy at work.  Keeping these high school kids engaged for the next two weeks is hard enough!

  • I have horrible ms!!! This is way worse than with DS.. ughhh.. I can tell there is 2 babies in there!! haha! Which is comforting.. in a way... blah! Ick!
  • I might be making a call to my doctors today for some zofran. This pregnancy is so different than my first, I was barely ever nauseous with DS.

Even ginger ale and saltines aren't helping :(
