Pleasant surprise at today's appointment!

At my last appt. my doc made a big deal about not doing the a/s until 20 weeks. 

I am 16 weeks for today's appt. and so I assumed my next appt., which would include the a/s would be on May 29th at 20 weeks.

Well, today we scheduled the scan.....for May 18th!!!  May not be a huge deal to some people but almost 2 weeks sooner than I expected to fine out the sex and now I am super excited!

Just had to share since I'm all giddy right now :)

    What a nice surprise.  I had my 16 week appt this morning as well and scheduled my a/s but it's not until the 29th.  I wish it was the 18th!

    That's great! Ours is the 17th - one day ahead of you, but it will be the 20 week appointment :)

    (I've been contemplating how to sneakily move it up a week) lol

    Yeah, I just got lucky with what appts. They had available and the fact that I would be out of town a couple of days.

    I am having mine that day too!  We are team green though so no sex for me but too cannot wait to see my little chicken nugget.

    We are ultrasound twins :)

    And yes I'm very excited about seeing the baby in general. This will be my first real scan ( besides the trans-vag one they did to determine pregnancy and heart beat at 7 weeks). Hoping that they are able to measure everything and of course that all the parts are perfect and healthy!!!

    I don't get mine til 6/6- I haven't seen the baby since my 7.5 week dating scan, which seems like ages ago.

    Great re the scan. Always exciting!

     I've a question though.. I have my next appointment next week. I'll be 17 weeks 6 days. My doc didn't say anything about scheduling a 20 week appointment... She just wanted me to come in monthly for the time being. is the 20 week appointment something everybody does? Or is it more like a 17 to 20 week appointment?
