I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby. In the last week, I have been feeling pressure in my lower pelvis. I don't know if I'm just carrying the baby low or if this is unusual. The baby has been kicking regularly for 2 weeks now and it seems like all the kicks are really low (as in, right around where my pubic hair starts). I haven't had any bleeding, but I'm no longer able to sit comfortably with my legs together. I don't have another doctor's appointment for 2 weeks, so I just want to ask:
Is this normal?
Re: Pressure in my pelvis
Oh you better check it to your OB-GYNE every now and then, my friend for I read in some books in the authorhouse publishing in the web that oftentime its not normal especially if this is your first time. I suggest that you and your husband do monitor it well every now and then and I hope you continue to post in here for more updates to your situation with the doctor's advise, ofcourse. Thanks
I think it's normal. Granted I didn't feel it with my first, he was breech.... But now this LO with her head down, good lord, my downstairs is HURTIN!!!
You can mention it to you doctor but I'm sure they will tell you, "just wait, it gets way worse!"
For realz!
I was having the same issue this past weekend. I carried my first way up near my boobs, so this guy being low is odd to me.
You may just be going through a growth spurt. I remember from the last time that I would be uncomfortable for a couple days, then things would sort of settle down, then a few weeks would go by annnnd...repeat! Already the pelvic pressure from this weekend is gone, but we'll see what he has in store for me next!
This happens to me too, but its not constant...
My midwife said for me anyway, if I have that uncomfortable pressure feeling inside my hips from time to time, it's just a combination of my uterus stretching, and the fact that I'm a pretty petite person, carrying a large baby. LOL.
Funny but true. I'm 5'3 and normally about 100lbs. My Norwegian husband is nearly 7 feet tall and a BIG dude in build...so apparently, I'm growing a hearty Scandinavian child. LOL
Anyway, good luck, sweetie! Remember to rest your feet up!
