Carnival fun

We went to a local carnival yesterday and I was SO proud of DD and felt like she suddenly really became a kid.

When we first got there she was holding both my hand and DH's 'cause she is a little nervous about grass. After a couple of minutes, she let go and was just walking/running/looking around. There were giant horses (I think the guy said they are the largest breed of horses), and DH took DD over and they pet the horses and she wasn't scared at all (I was). Then we put her on a merry-go-round for little kids. They have seatbelts and the things don't move up and down. We weren't sure she'd sit there without getting scared or standing up. They put her in a two-seater with another kid, and she had such a great time. She didn't even look over at us - she was too busy turning the wheel with the other kid and "honking" the horn. It was so nice to see her not be scared of things and just enjoy herself - I was so proud! (And felt like a dork about it.)

They even had a bouncy castle for the really little kids and let a parent go in with them. She had such a great time she didn't want to come out.

It was such a fun day! I just really wanted to share about it 'cause I was so excited.

Re: Carnival fun

  • Wow - Sounds like she had a great time!  It is so much fun to watch them go from baby to kid.

  • Oh wow, that's awesome. I think we'll take JT to one on Sunday - I wasn't sure how much he'd enjoy it but it sounds like if he's anything like your LO he'll love it! What a nice day.
