Labor starting after diarrhea...

So, the diarrhea has begun, but I'm wondering if it could have been something I ate..?  Not sure.  It's subsided, but it lasted the majority of last night and the cramping was bad enough where I'm worried about eating anything that might set it off again if it wasn't a sign that labor's about to begin.  With women who have diarrhea before labor, how soon does labor start after the diarrhea begins?  And does the diarrhea last right up until contractions starting or does it calm down before the real pain sets in?

    even when I eat something simple, or sometimes nothing at all, I get an onset of diarrhea... this has been happening most of my 3rd tri... and Im still here...(with an inside baby)...

    Darn it!  Well, at least I've learned I should cut back on the dairy and butter.  I ate an abundance of it yesterday, that's probably what started this all.

    I had diarrhea and loose stool back and forth throughout the last few weeks. I will say when labor / contractions did begin, I had FREQUENT bowel movements all morning...they were necessarily diarrhea , though.

    I woke up in the middle of the night last week with terrible nausea, diarrhea, menstrual-like cramps and back pain. I'd lost my MP the day before and knew I was 2 cm dilated, I was so sure that was the beginning of something...

    and it so wasn't. :( I'm actually home from work this morning with the same thing, and not holding my breath that the outcome will be different.
