Ha this! I was told by OB that I've gained 8 so far. I'm happy with that. 8lbs in almost 4 months sounds good to me. Honestly I wouldn't care if I gained 20. I'm growing a baby. Weight gain is gonna happen. Big deal. I will lose it after LO is born anyway. I'm not stressing about it.

I've gained approx. 20lbs. I haven't been sick at all but I also haven't really been eating terribly. I think it is mostly water weight because I went from NEVER drinking water, to drinking almost a gallon a day.
I'm up 16lbs. I was never sick in the beginning, just ravenous and craving bad things. For the most part I eat pretty healthy but I have food aversions to veggies so the fruit sugars and calories add up and I'm guilty for being a late night pie eater
I'm at 16 weeks and have gained 2 lbs. Although I didn't lose all the baby weight from DD and started about 10-15 lbs heavier than where I started with her, so I'm hoping to not gain as much. We'll see what happens when I hit 30+ weeks

My big gain was between 23-28 weeks last time I gained 7 lbs... the following month I gained 8 lbs!!! I had GD last time though- praying I don;t have it this time!!

I've only gained 4 lbs so far. I still had 30 to lose from DD (thanks to not being able to breastfeed), so (as a PP noted) I'm hoping to not gain very much this go around.

This except I did breastfeed. I was always starving from all the milk production so I didn't loose a pound. I told my husband as soon as I'm doing bfing I am focusing on myself until I get the weight off.

I lost a bit in the beginning due to the lifestyle change (no wine, limited fried and junk foods, more fruits and veggies, etc.). I think I am back up again and have put on a couple pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. A lot of my friends said they put on the bulk of their weight in their thrid trimester so I guess I have that to look forward to
Since my 8 week appointment I'm down 11lbs. My doctor says she is not worried about it so neither am I. My mother and my grandmother didn't start showing/gaining weight until about week 25. My m/s wasn't terrible and I've been eating properly, exercising regularly, etc. Doctor said that every woman gains weight differently, attributed it to a change in metabolism and said that baby looked fine. I have an appointment on Monday...we will see if she says anything different but assume not.
I've gained 10-12 lbs. I haven't been sick at all this pregnancy and have cravings that make me eat more frequently than pre-pregnancy. I was already a little overweight, so my doc told me to only gain about 25 lbs or so. Hopefully this weight gain slows down a little.

8 lbs...I think every woman, and every pregnancy is different. As long as you eat healthy and get in some exercise (even just walking), your body will gain what it needs to. Last pregnancy by this time I'd gained like 16lbs, and I was sick sick sick. This time I only had 2 weeks of what I'd call real m/s with a the occasional feeling yucky day mixed in, and I've gained less. I have faith my body just knows what it needs to do for this baby.
Thanks, gals!!!! I was just curious how much everyone else was gaining. I was alreay 15-20 lbs overweight so I am trying not to gain too much, too quickly!

pretty much exactly this. last doctors appointment I was still down 2lbs from before I went on vacation and concieved, I don't own a scale so I will see at my next doctors app, or if I remember to look at my in-laws.
I'm also up about 16-20 pounds. My doctor isn't worried since I had to stop exercising (on pelvic rest) and eat really healthy/drink lots of water. I think everyone is different...and if your doctor isn't concerned, you shouldn't be either

i lost five pounds early on from morning sickness and food aversions. in the last month or so ive put it back on, so technically im breaking even right now at seventeen weeks. hopefully this helps to not gain too much over the next several months.
At my appointment one week ago I had gained 1 1/2 lbs. I have been craving healthier foods than what I normally eat but mostly sweets. I'm sure the weight will start to pile on before too long! My belly sure is growing!
Me: 29 DH:30 married 6/5/10
DS: 10/12/12 via ECS (blood clot in umbilical cord)
I'm 15weeks today & according to my scale at home I'm weighing in at the same weight as before I was pregnant, but according to my last Dr. apt I am up 2lbs (I've been up 2, same as before, then up 2 again).
But I am overweight to begin with so my weight gain is supposed to be fairly minimal.
I've lost about 3 lbs... but I've been told not to gain too much weight with this baby, so I'm okay with it. With the bed rest though, who knows what will happen?
I had lost 14 lbs at this time with my daughter because of extreme morning sickness - but then promptly made up for it and then some during weeks 17-39....
1 lb as of last Tuesday, I had lost 2 lbs in 1st tri. I only gained 19 lbs with DS, so figure this one is on track to be about the same and my OB is fine with that.

I think I'm at 5-6 lbs more. Last weigh in was at my Dr's office 2 weeks ago and I had gained 4.5 since the beginning.
