Moms with a DS....red, swollen penis???

I just changed my sons diaper and his entire penis. The head, shaft and testicles are super, super red and swollen! I gave him some motrin fot pain and put him in regular little boys undies to keep diaper chemicals off of it. What else should I do? Should I call the nurse hotline set up by his pedi or havr him be seen in and walk in urgent care place?

I'd be taking him to the walk in or urgent care. My nephew had this and had a severe infection... OW! Hope he's better soon!

Yea, the nurse suggested the er. We went and he has a really bad yeast infection from his antibiotics yhat he was on last week for a double ear infection and pink eye. They prescribed 2 different kinds of cream for him. I feel sooooo bad for him. He is waddeling and you can tell it hurts. We are keeping up on pain meds too. All we can do now is just wait...

You might give him yogurt too!! Yogurt is supposed to help treat yeast infection

Ty ladies! Yea I have some really yummy TCBY vanilla frozen yogurt that says it has 7 live cultures in it. He gets to have some for sure. My poor kid has had the worst week ever. Double ear infection, pink eye, vomitting his meds up so they had to give him antibiotics in a shot form....2 days in a row. He also had a nasty cold with a high fever. He is also on albuterol breathing treatments and now the horrible yeast infection. He just can't win!
