Anyone use Best Bottoms or GroVia AI2 for daycare?

I just started using Best Bottoms and am loving them.  Today I picked up a GroVia AI2 to try as well.  I thought this system would be a cheaper, easy option for daycare.  I'm not sure how my DC provider is going to feel about switching the  inserts, but was thinking that if I had 5-8 covers with the inserts already snapped in.  Then use the same covers the next day with new inserts.  Then I could do laundry after 2 uses of the covers.

How do you use them for daycare?  TIA!

  • We don't use them for daycare, but do use them.

If DS poops it NEVER stays on the insert.

Also, I find the mesh wicks a lot of moisture and I never end up reusing them.  For us they're just expensive AIO's.

  • My son only spent 5 days in daycare, but we used the Best Bottom diapers on him while he was there. I always had them just use them like AIOs. I never asked them to change the inserts. I wanted to make things as simple as possible for them and they weren't super familiar with CDs, so this seemed like the easiest solution to me.
  • We use Best Bottoms at DC and our DCP loves them. She has an in-home daycare, so I don't know if that makes a difference, but she doesn't mind just changing the insert.

If you were to send enough covers for all day, Id suggest you wash them at night. If they sit in a wetbag all day with the wet inserts, the outsides of the covers will get wet too. They are more fabric like, not plasticy like the inside that you can wipe out. I know out covers stink just like the inserts once they get home
