DD is a preemie and I've been EPing since she was born, both during her NICU stay and since she's been home. We've been working with a LC to get her to breast feed more often. DD is finally taking some full feedings from me, which is wonderful, but it is throwing off my pumping. Do I continue to try to pump every 4 hours or so, or is it fine to skip/delay a pumping session when DD takes a full feeding from me?
Re: Pumping and transition from EP to EBF
Well, if you're working with a LC I would ask her! My gut says if the baby takes out milk, then you can delay a pump session up to 3-4 more hours.
Congrats on getting her to the breast! Your life will get so much simpler if pumping can be optional rather than mandatory.

This, friends, is what sleep deprivation will do to you! I have been meaning to ask her, but keep forgetting.
