I'm 19w 4d and last night after I went to the bathroom I was walking over to the mirror and noticed these droplets on the floor. figured I wiped enough but then I thought maybe it's amniotic fluid? or what if it is? when I check my discharge it's kinda watery/white and sticky. not sure...

Re: how do you know if you're leaking amniotic fluid?

Its happened to me where I wasnt quite done and leaked when I stood up.
You could call L&D and see if they have more suggestions, but you could always throw on a pad and see if it fills or do the sniff test which sounds disgusting. Pee has a pretty distinct smell. You could lay down and see if you get a rush after standing.
If all that fails and youre still worried, its a simple test to get it checked.
If you have a fluid leak, it will keep leaking.
Not to freak you out, but I actually had a slow amniotic fluid leak at the end of my first pregnancy and I didn't know it. Toward the end of pregnancy, it's not uncommon to get a watery vaginal discharge. I wasn't sure if I was leaking amniotic fluid, so I went to the hospital at 36 weeks and they checked and told me it was not amniotic fluid. A week later, at my 37 week doctor's appointment, the "discharge" had continued and my doctor told me I was now leaking amniotic fluid. Sometime over the past week the watery discharge had changed to an amniotic fluid leak but my leak was so small, I didn't notice the difference. After the leak was discovered, I was immediately induced and I had a healthy baby. No harm, no foul, right?
put on a pad and then lie down for 15- 20 minutes. If when you get up there's a little puddle on the pad, then you're leaking and should call your doctor ASAP. If there's nothing on the pad, it's probbaly just dribble or pee.
