Re: Lana?

  • It's beautiful. Very feminine and soft without being princess-y and prissy.

  • I like it. Feminine without being overly so, and familiar but not too popular.

  • I have a pretty awful association with it that makes it seem trashy to me, BUT if I had never known that particular Lana, I would agree that it's a nice name.

  • It makes me think of Smallville/Superman, but I like it anyways

Anyhow, it also means wool in spanish and italian so I would never use it but if you don't have anything to do with italian/spanish speaking people then definetly go for it, is feminine and sweet

  • It's fine. It's a legit name and is obviously feminine, so it's a nice choice. I just don't like it myself.

I knew a Lana in high school. She was a very sweet, hard working girl, great with animals. I always thought the name sounded pretty.

  • I have never met a Lana, but it sounds like a nickname for Alana. I don't care for it.

Yep, it reminded me of Clark Kent, but I do like it!

  • I used to love this name until I realized what it spelled backwards. It only takes one annoying kid in Junior High to figure that out, then its all done. Plus, the fact that the prostitute from the 80's movie Risky Business's name was Lana doesn't help either. Based on that I wouldn't use the name, which is a shame because it is such a pretty name.
