Weston Daniel for baby boy? I have posted several times about not agreeing with DH on a name. I have always liked Weston and he likes it too. But there is a catch... please tell me your thoughts. One of my mom's really good friends son's died of cancer two years ago. His name was Weston. Would that be weird for me to use that name? She is my friend on facebook and so are her 3 daughters. Her other son is actually my dad's business partner so I work with him. I just love the name but don't want to make her sad. He was only 20 when he died and he had a brain injury from barely surviving a car accident when he was 4 years old. Its an awful story that I won't get into. Just wondering everyone's thoughts. My husband had liked Carter and Hunter but our last name is Sn**er so after a little thinking I am not sure how I feel about a first and last name that end in er.

I'm really not crazy about Weston (or Easton, which is also trending), but if you like it, I think you should ask the deceased's mother if she would mind you using it, in a very respectful way.

Daniel is my dad's name- he goes by Dan... and I'm Danielle so that might be a little too much.

I actually like the name Weston! If I were in your shoes though I'm not sure I would go ahead and use it. That's a tricky one...as pp suggested, asking in an extremely sensitive way would be a must.

I love the name! Weston Daniel it is actually one of the names that we have picked out as well. But, I agree that I would ask about using it.

I love the name Weston. I don't think you have to ask to use the name, but if you are unsure, maybe talk to your mom about it and see what she thinks. If she is a close friend of the family, maybe just mention that it's a name you love and would be honored to name your son that too.
