My mom had a wry healthy pregnancy. I was born a little early but not by much at all! I only weighed 3.13. I was very healthy just very small. Does this mean my baby will probably be very small like I was?
That's really small. I would think that would be considered IUGR. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Maybe your OB will give you a growth ultrasound to check. I don't know if that necessarily means you could have a small baby though.

My SIL was large, over 9 pounds, and was concerned she would have large babies as it resulted in c-sections for her mom. Her OB said one does not have to do with the other.
There are a lot of reasons a seemingly healthy pregnancy would result in a tiny baby. I had a good pregnancy w/ my son ( minor ms, 20lb weight gain, no swelling, but I did have high BP controlled w/ meds) and he was born about 39 weeks at 5lb5oz. This was likely b/c of his 2vessel cord & abnormally small placenta. Two things I had no control over and 30 years ago they might not have recognized. They saw this at my a/s and I was monitored w/ growth u/s every few weeks. If he hadn't been estimated over 5lb at my 36w check they would have prob recommended an induction/section at that point. The idea being he could do better out than in at that point.
If you're really concerned talk about it w/ your provider.

I agree.
Anyway - genetics is just one factor. So, don't feel too bad. If you have concerns...talk to your OB.
