Baby Benjamin was born at 32 weeks gestational age last Tuesday. The doctors never expected me to make it that far... so 32 weeks was a huge achievement! He was only 2 pounds 4.5 ounces at birth, so he's our little miracle baby. He's doing very well and doctors predict we'll be able to take him home at 4-6 weeks old. He just needs to grow!
I'm a little sad that I missed my shower (it was supposed to be yesterday) but he's so worth it! My shower will be rescheduled, so it's not a huge deal. I just can't wait to take him home!

Congratulations on your baby boy! I am glad that he is doing well.
I had my son at close to 31 weeks. The Preemie board on the bump has been very helpful to me. As well, on Facebook, there is a page for It's a Preemie Thing--there are a lot of preemie moms on that page. I found it to be very helpful to talk to social workers at the hospital. And there was also a support group for parents of preemies at our hospital.

Thanks! I just liked It's a Preemie Thing on FB! I've been lurking on the Bump's Preemie board for awhile now too as we expected an early delivery!
