S/O Mother's Day

The confessions about Mother's Day have me wondering... What are your plans?

I am now thinking I want to do it just our little family, but the tradition is going over to DH's maternal grandmother's house... now 4 generations of mothers would be there.

    My MIL is coming to see DS for the first time.  She's offered to watch him for a couple hours while DH and I go out to dinner.  I'm hoping we'll get to stay out for a little while, but there's no telling how DS's temperment will be.

    I plan on dh being in charge of all things baby :) feeding, changing, putting to sleep. We will probably hang out at home and relax. I already got my present, a kindle touch. I love it.

    I'm sure we'll head back to our hometown and split the day with our moms. I hate holidays like that where we have divide the day. I always feel like one of us gets cheated out of time with our family.

    DS will be dedicated/baptised on Mother's Day at my MIL's church.  Both of our moms will be there.  Afterward, MIL is paying (though I'm having DH offer to pay) for pizza and salad at a near-by restaurant for everyone.

    I hear you, we have 3 families locally.  We decided that once DD was born we would only do one family per holiday and try to rotate families, but that was really for major holidays I hadn't really thought about all the littler holidays.

    I wasnt paying attention to when it was and set up Cordelias baptism for that day!  So my family is all coming into town.  After the baptism we are all going to my in-laws for a little party. 

    Normally it is just us on Mothers Day and we dont do much.  Maybe go to a park if it is nice.

    I love my mom dearly, but I haven't spent Mother's Day with her in years. I have a feeling we'll just hang out at home. I am hoping DH will take on most of the responsibilities and maybe cook me his awesome French Toast for breakfast :)

    I am also guessing my mom might come by with a little gift for me. She's sweet like that.
