I had no symptoms leading up to me taking the test and because I have PCOS I had not had a period in a few months (normal for me). My BFF and I were chatting the day b4 my bday and she said what a great gift it would be to find out you were preg on your bday. We kept chatting about having kids and that night I went to Target picked up a ton of snacks (not normal for me) and a clear blue. At about 6am on my bday I took the test and it came back positive. I sent my bff a text 20 seconds later with a pic of the test.
Hello my names Victoria andi knew because I started eating wierd food like cucumbers and penutbuter, blue cheese dressing with carrots and I hated blue cheese, and i was illageric to melon which I ate all the time and loved. The cycle for me was not a normal cycle so I could not go by so thats not one of the things I look for.
I actually announced to hubby I wasn't pregnant, as I had some light bleeding that I assumed was the start of my period. I had to take it back as after the next day, there was nothing. So I had some implantation bleeding. A week or so later, my breasts started tingling, and I started getting light nausea. Now I've got heavier nausea, and I'm tired all the time.
As for the tests - I'm one of the weird ones. I didn't take a home test. After I was a couple weeks late with the period, and my body felt the way it did, I made a doctor's appointment for a test. I figured, either I'm pregnant or something else is wrong, so I should go see the doctor. Got the confirmation from the Doc yesterday.
I started feeling really dizzy and I was becoming very forgetful, kind of like ditsy. Then I became really tired. I usually didn't fall sleep before 9pm but I was dead tired by 3pm.
BITTERNESS WILL JUST LEAVE A NASTY TASTE IN YOUR MOUTH!
My period usually hits like clockwork, 28 day cycle ever since I got off birth control in January. Felt nauseous for like a week, took a test a day before my period was supposed to hit, it was negative. Days came and went, no period ever arrived. I was at lunch with my mom one day and could smell the sweet tea from the table across from us, which I thought was weird but didn't clue into it as a pregnancy sign. I took a test the next morning (~5 days after my period was supposed to show up) and it was positive. That was about a week ago. I used a generic Walgreen's digital test.
Re: How'd you know?
I only knew because I POAS and got a BFP.
Pregnancy symptoms didn't start until 6 weeks for me, and any symptoms before that were totally indistinguishable from normal period symptoms.
After 2 years of TTC#1, 2 losses, & a lot of prayers, we're hoping this is it!
