On another note, I find it kind of gross to swish a diaper in the toilet. If you dunk and swish do you use the toilet, or do you have a separate bucket?

    I don't have a sprayer yet, so all mine get dunked and swished. If they need to soak I just sandwich them between the toilet bowl and the lid.  It's really not that big of a deal - it's poop. In a toilet. Where all the other poop goes.

    We use a sprayer now, but before we got it we were dunking and swishing. We had a pair of tongs that stayed in the bathroom that we used for it. It's funny - we were given the tongs as part of an "emergency kit" that was a joke gift for DH, but we actually use them!!

    Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.
    BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.

    I dunked and swished for almost 2 years before buying a sprayer (and only got the sprayer because we started caring for my dad and it's easier to clean off his things with).  I don't find the toilet any nastier than a bucket.

    We dunk and swish away from home - I just did it at my sister's since we stayed overnight for the GCDC.  I just hold the diaper in while I flush and it kind of rinses it.  I think a bucket would be more gross! 

    I love my sprayer.

    What a ridiculous invention. I'm fairly certain I don't want the diaper soaking in the toilet against the inside wall.

    i think that's gross. i've dunked once because i had to. most of the time i just shake off what i can, and let the rinse cycle do the rest! maybe that's gross, lol, but we've had solid poops forever now.

    The butler seems like a waste of money and a hassle to deal with.   Simply hold the diaper resting against the edge of the toilet and spray with a diaper sprayer.  Easy Peasy.  I would think you would get more poop on you trying to attach the diaper to the butler.

    I certainly think that is a silly invention. If I did have that big of a fear of dunking in the toilet I would just use tongs or something like mentioned above. Yes, I do think dunking in the toilet is gross. I'll just have to get over it though when the time comes. It seems like way more of a hassle to have a separate system. We will get a diaper sprayer. I guess I'll learn from expereince what poo warrants a spray and what requires a swish.
