Three week growth spurt at 4 weeks?

Sorry for typos..one-handed typing.

DD will be four weeks on Monday and it seems she's just now going through the three week growth spurt (or at least it seems like it). I EP, and we generally give her 2 oz bottles. Yesterday and today she's been wanting to eat every twenty minutes...we just go from bottle to bottle. She eats 2-4 oz. at a time, then wants to eat 20 - 60 minutes later. And SCREEAMS until she gets food. She's also somewhat soothed by the pacifier, and sometimes just by being held, but ultimately, she wants to eat. 

Even though we're nearly at four weeks, this is likely the three week spurt, right??

    Did you have feeding issues at birth? 

    I know we did, and DS didn't hit his growth spurt until around 4 weeks.  But yes, it definitely sounds like a growth spurt.  Keep following her lead...  as she starts eating more and more and you think she's getting to much, you might stop every 1-2 ozs to burp.. Also, she might be trying to eat more at one time, which is not a bad thing because when she does this, she'll probably sleep longer at night.  :)

    Dd was 4 weeks on Tues and the past 3 days have been hell. I hope it's the growth spurt because that would mean its temporary. She just screams unless she's eating. She won't stay asleep during the day for more than 15 min.

    Not all babies go right at 3 weeks. That is just a rule of thumb. DD turned 4 weeks on Tuesday. Monday-Thursday were hell around here. Screaming, eating, sleeping. That was it. Didn't sleep well. Actually cried in her sleep. Wanted to eat all the time. Today...back to her normal, self-imposed schedule (she did that at 2 weeks) and her normal, happy self. Thank God. I was afraid we were stuck in this forever.

    Yeah, I think the 3 week growth spurt is more of an estimate. My DD actually had hers at 2 weeks. And her 6 week growth Spurt at 5 weeks. She's running a little ahead for some reason. If she's eating a bottle every 2 min I think you're definitely seeing a growth spurt. :)

    My DS was doing great on 2oz at each feeding (I have been pumping for him to track how much he is getting because it took him till his appt yesterday to pass his 8lb birth weight) about 4 days ago after 2oz he started screaming and he only seriously cries if he is hungry or needs to be changed, as soon as we gave him 1-2 more ounces he was fine for 2-3 hrs until his next feeding!

    thx, all! She seems to have calmed down a bit, so I'm thinking it was a spurt!
