I'm only 19 weeks but I am already struggling to breathe when I sing or play my instruments (all of which get blown into). My husband is also in our band and is very supportive of me stopping whenever I need to but the reality is that I love it and hate to give it up.I know I won't be able to do it so much once the babie are here and want to play as long as possible. We have a show in mid-May that I would like to play and then probably be done after that. Any suggestions on how to catch my breath? Also, any idea if being so short of breath can do any real damage to the babies? Other than having trouble breathing I feel great. Any advice is so appreciated! TIA!

Re: I can't breath well while playing with my band...is it time to quit or can it get better?
Is it an orchestra-type band or a band where everyone does their part and is highly featured? If it is an orchestra-type band, I would keep going and just take that breathing break whenever needed. (I'm going by your statement that you love it and hate to give it up).
I would probably not want to think about giving it up, but taking a temporary break from it. I had to give up my martial arts to work on my college degree. I trained daily for my martial arts. I found that with school, I needed to study daily or be in class daily (and I work full time). Now I've taken a break from my schooling while these girls are infants. I will try and go back next spring semester.
Good luck! I remember having a hard time breathing around 18-19 weeks also. Hugs to you!
