I live in Alabama and I keep hearing adults, especially people older than me, call their dad "Daddy" and a lot of times - with the accent - it sounds like "Deddy" (that one is like nails on a chalkboard to me).
I call my parents "Mom" and "Dad". I can't even remember calling them "Mommy" or "Daddy".
So...just curious...

I was just talking about this the other day -- my boss, who is a 50 something adult male, calls his mother "mommy" -- it creeps me out.

I generally refer to them as Mom and Dad (and now mostly Gigi and Grampa). But when I'm in a group with my mom I'll often call her by her first name. I'm not sure why...we did work for the same agency for about seven years and I definitely never called her "Mom" at work, so that might be why...but my siblings do it too.
I have never, ever called them "Mommy" or "Daddy."

This is so me too. I just realized it this weekend.
My dad is Daddy, although I do call him Dad every so often. I don't pronounce it Deddy, though!
My mom died when I was ten, when I was still calling her Mommy, so I will probably always call her Mommy. I'm sure I would have shortened that to mom at some point if she'd lived.
I wonder if it's a southern thing? My stepmom still calls her father "daddy" and her father refers to her mother as "mommy", although I think stepmom called her "mother".
My dad refers to his dad as "daddy" and his mom as "mother".
My dad is "dad" and my mom is "mom". The fact that grown ups call their parents "mommy" and "daddy" is kind of weird to me, and it creeps DH out to the point that he doesn't want DD calling him "daddy" ever! He wants to always be "dada".
I will say mom and dad when talking to them or about them. When talking about them to my brother or sister, I say mommy and daddy. If I call and my dad answers and I want to talk to my mom, I will ask "is mommy around" and vice versa.
I will always call my dad daddy if I want something. At 38, I am still a daddy's girl.
If I am taking about them with, or in front of, the kids then it's Lelo & Lela (for Abuelo & Abuela).
