I'm looking over my eWish list for my Nook and none of them sound good anymore.
What are you reading? What do you want to read? Or, what would you suggest getting next?
I personally always suggest Jennifer Weiner books, Marian Keyes books, P.S. I Love you, Jennifer McMahon and Lorna Landvik have a few good ones as well.
Re: Let's talk books....
I hopped onto a couple of bandwagons and read The Hunger Games recently before seeing the movie. I enjoyed it. I've started the second book of that trilogy and just kinda hit a wall and got busy/lazy.
I started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but just couldn't get into it (after 3 times of trying). I saw the movie and I'm glad I didn't read the book. There was a scene in the movie I couldn't watch and heard it was even worse in the book.
Nicholas Sparks books are good for a quick read. *shrug*
LOL read all of those. Loved the Hunger Games, couldn't put them down. I read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy and had to struggle to finish, but over all liked it. I think I know what scene you're talking about and it's much much worse in the book. Nicholas Sparks, I've tried many times, many different books but I can't get into them....
BFP #2 March 2011, Baby Girl born November 2011!!!
This is me exactly! I have read the hunger games since LO but that's about it. I finished those quickly but I ignored my house and stayed up way too late
Now I'm kinda tempted to start reading that 50 shades of grey.. Just because of all the hype.
I've recently read:
The Hunger Games Trilogy
Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares (I read the first 4 Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books a few years ago)
Two Kisses for Maddy by Matt Logelin
I'm currently reading Safe Haven by Nicolas Sparks and I have his newest, The Best of Me, to read next.
Some others I like:
Water for Elephants, The Art of Racing in the Rain, The Dogs of Babel, Anything by Nicholas Sparks, The Host, Twilight Series and Anything by Emily Giffin. James Patterson wrote some love story books that I really liked to; Jennifer's Letters for Sam, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, Sunday's at Tiffany's.
my read shelf:
Just finished:
I Was a Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids by Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile
Cinderella Ate My Daughter by Peggy Orenstein
The first I recommend. The second I recommend with some reservation (way too feminist for me but there are a lot of roses among the thorns)
So far this year I've read:
Game of Thrones (George Martin)
Dreams of Joy (Lisa See)
I've Got Your Number (Sophie Kinsella)
Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child
Total Money Makeover

my read shelf:
Right now, I'm finally reading The Help. It's so good, I'm not sure what took me so long to get around to it.
Game of Thrones is awesome but long, Snowflower and the Secret Fan is great, Jodi Picoult is always good but so dang sad.
I'm always looking for something to read while I'm pumping at work. Great thread!
I'm a big fan of Sophie Kinsella. Her Shopaholic series always made me laugh and they were easy reads.
Right now I'm reading Bloom by Kelle Hampton. She has a blog called "Enjoying the small things" that I'm sure people on here have heard about. I can't put the book down, especially now that I'm a mom.
