rec. your dishwasher detergent

What do you use for dishwasher detergent? I've been using the kind without phosphate, but the dishes don't get completely clean.

  • We use Method tabs; they seem to work well. I rinse dishes pretty well though.

For non-d/w, I use 7th gen soap. It does an ok job.

I just switched from 7th gen to biokleen powder and really like it too :)

  • I second the Method tabs!

  • Hands down the trader joe's brand of powder detergent. Way better than the other "eco-friendly" one's we've tried. (We use white vinegar with this as our rinse detergent).

I just bought the method tabs this week because I had some coupons for them. But I do like them. And I don't rinse well. :P My husband does but I'm pretty lazy about it.
We normally use finish tabs with the powerball. I don't know if that's phosphate free because it's not something I've been concerned about so I haven't even looked.
I may stick with method because it's normally only $1 more than finish.
