I mean this is the best way possible but the best way to avoid being made fun of is to just deal with the drama and move on. Any time on public forums and you're going to get made fun of or get into a disagreement at some point (I know I have) but you just have to try not to make it a big deal and move on. Choosing to not post anymore probably isn't the way to go.

I mean, the names themselves aren't even the absolute worst things in the world (we're not talking Felanie here or anything). The fact of the matter was that they just don't mean what she said they did. They simply don't. So, if you're naming your child based off of it's meaning, I think you should make fairly certain that they're accurate!

Kayden Bevins Kayden is TERRIBLE, sorry. Overly trendy and badly spelled at that.

Brielle Mailon I think Brielle is pretty.

Dudley was my DH's great grandfathers name and he has passed on and Paul is my grandfathers name who died before I was born both were very well liked and respected men we want to honor both, if we choose to honor one.

Is this pronounced Cal-Lynn? Where did you come up with this name? It strikes me as the parents wanted Caitlin but weren't sure how to spell it.

Also, why not Paul as the first name, and Dudley as the middle?

Don't worry about all this - name your child a name you love. Internet strangers should not influence your decision or keep you from naming your child something that you and your DH really like.

I personally don't like the names, which is why I won't be naming my child any of them. That being said, it's lame to DD. Put your BGP on and stand up for yourself next time. Also, why do you care so much what random internet strangers think? You'll never meet any of us, and we ARE alllowed to have differing opinions.

While I see no harm in disagreeing with someone, I do not think it's right to keep harping on someone because you find it entertaining. While some of you may find that her names could be on "16 and Pregnant", I feel that your comments could be as well.

Names are such a personal thing, I would never post or even share names with friends/family and this is why - there is ALWAYS an opinion and always a negative one! If you and DH like the names there is no need to justify it to us. Just go with it.
