Breastfeeding

Dr. Browns

My bottle hating baby seems to be taking to the dr. Browns bottles - the regular ones, not the wide neck. That's ok, right? Doesn't seem to be affecting her latch at all. (she's 12 weeks.) She is lukewarm on the Tommee Tippee bottles and the calma, even though they are marketed to bfing babies.

Has anyone had success with their pacis? Dd doesn't really take one, but I thought we'd give them a shot.

Re: Dr. Browns

  • What ever works for your LO. My son doesn't likes the bf bottles so he drinks the regular ones.As far as paci go he only liked the soothie but did not use it long.

  • I use the Medela bottles for when I'm at work. My DD won't take a pacifer either. She just spits them out.

  • My LO seems to do fine going from bottle to binki to breast.  We have used the bottles from the hospital, and then used playtex dropins, Dr. Brown's, and Born free.  Her latching is only lazy for a suck or two after she's had a bottle the feeding before, but then she gets it.  No big deal.

  • DS has been using Dr.Brown regular bottles since 7 weeks. There was also no issues with the transition. With that said, he will not take their binkys. He only takes the First Years Gumdrops that he was issued at hospital.
