Hi there I just had a question for everyone. Besides a missed period how did you first know you were pregnant and what test did you use and what?s your recommendation on it.
I knew because I ate 2 jars of pickles in two days and I don't really like pickles normally. And I couldn't wake up and my bladder always felt full. I did a cheap dollar tree test and got a VERY faint line and totally freaked out because we have been trying for almost 3 years. Then I ran to walmart and got a clear blue digital test and it came right up "pregnant".
I was four days late for my period... was having all the PMS cramping. And all of a sudden I had a feeling. So I bought some clear blue digital pregnancy tests, and it took about two minutes and came up pregnant!!

I had period like cramps for about a week and a half before my period, and super sore breasts. I had the usual pms symptoms, but I usually don't get that until a couple of days before my period is due, not a full week and a half before my period. Then I took a First Response Test and got a bfp.
i was just exhausted everyday, constantly hungry, and was waking up in the middle of the night to use the restroom (already?!), i also felt a little bloated more than usual. then i took a test, couldn't tell if there was a second line or not, so i got a digital (LOVE these) and it said "pregnant" we'd been trying for a few months so i was beyond happy & had to call DH right away. we are thrilled and just praying that this baby sticks.
I had the WORST boob pain. More painful than any other boob pain that I've had pre-period. I also had a heightened sense of smell. I could smell every nasty thing that there was. I took the First Response Early Pregnancy Test (the pink one).
I was actually getting ready to go drink I had a feeling that I should take a test before going out, so I went to CVS and got a generic blue dye test. I got a very light line and didn't know if it was an evap or not. I showed my bf, he saw it and gave me a huge hug. We went home and showed his mom and she was unsure. A few hours later there was a thin, narrow line and I read all about blue dye tests being notorious for false positives. So two days later I bought two FRER and got a faint pink line. My bf still wasn't convinced so I took the other test two days later and sure enough there was a dark pink line.
I guess my answer is, I just kind of knew and didn't want to hurt the baby. FRER are awesome and the dollar store tests work just as well. Also, my symptoms started after my missed period. I got extremely hungry and then at 5w the morning sickness came in.
I have been wondering because one day right out of the blue I eat like a billion pickles, my boobs have been sore for like 2 weeks, n have to pee none stop. I asked my recently pregnant friend how she knew she said she wanted bacon one day n eat a whole pack which is what got her wondering. Which is my case atm I have my period every month on the 15 never later then the 20th, my DH brought home a first response early result pregnancy test (one in pink box) it says take any time of day, anyone have thoughts on waiting tell first pee in morning or just taking any time?
I had no symptoms. I had a "that COULD be a line" on three wondfo tests so I busted out the digital and got a Yes, confirmed by blood tests. I still have very few symptoms, none of the usual ones.
I 'knew' before I took the test. My body is super regular and about two weeks after my period I had an abnormal day of spotting. This is the same thing that happened with my last pregnancy which mc'd in week 6. I spent the next two weeks waiting to take the test. I took it on the first day I was officially 'late' and had an immediate positive result with a faint red line. I took another test a week later with another positive result and went to the local health department to get an official result. During the first four weeks I had no abnormal symptoms other than the one day of spotting. Any other symptoms I encountered were all also symptoms of getting ready to start my period.
I had some nausea and my boobs were really sore, as in putting on a bra hurt. I took a test to prove to my BF that I wasn't, but turned out he was right! According to him I was also have some severe mood swings that weren't normal for me. I took a Target brand test and had a definite positive. Took a digital Clear Blue test the next day just to make double sure : ) I was about a week late at that point. And then I had a positive urine preg at the OB last week when I went for my prenatal labs. It was positive in like 30 seconds there!
I was extremely tired and I ate a ton for supper the day before the day I was expecting my period. We had pizza and wings and normally I would eat like 3 wings and a slice of pizza... well I ate 8 wings and 5 slices of pizza. Also, at 13dpo (the day of my expected period) my temp was still elevated.

The hormone that the test looks for is strongest in the morning. I took my tests first thing in the morning and still only had a faint line. With my first pregnancy I took one in the afternoon and got a negative result, but it came up positive when I took it the next morning.
Pants that fit fine the week before wouldn't zip up...5 or 6 days late....boobs extra sore...took a digital hpt...positive in 30 sec...then another the next day...positive in 10 sec...took another with the lines next day...positive before test window showed up...finally took another with the lines and same thing! I would say that's a positive result! lol
I went to my OBGYN for a regular checkup and after leaving a urine sample they said "BTW did you know..." lol! I had no symptoms for the first few weeks. I guess in retrospect I was a little more tired than usual but I even had my "period" still [obviously not my period but bleeding/spotting that occured when AF would have been due]

I had a cramps from a week before my period was due to after it is was late. They were different than what i normally have during PMS. Also the day I decided to take a test I was burping a lot which was unusual for me.
The test I took that day had a faint positive, that my husband questioned me on, then two days later (this morning) it was a dark line that was a definite positive.
Well I was nauseous for three days before I took a test and my boobs were really sore. I figured after the third straight day of nauseousness I should take a test since I was four days late anyways and the fact that we have been trying for eight months to get pregnant. I used a First Response kit that had a regular test and then a digital to verify. I have used First Response the whole time we have been trying and they have been great so I definitely recommend them especially the digital ones.
I took a dozen pregnancy tests and my RE confirmed it with bloodwork.
First Response Early Result (the pink tests) are awesome.
This. I felt something was just "off". I used a First Response Early Result and got a very quick two lines 6 days before my missed period. Talk about finding out early!!! I've since taken about a dozen more tests including the digital ones...

I was so moody! I yelled at my boyfriend for no reason when he got home from work one day and the very next day I completely lost it on a coworker whom I adore. I just knew something was up because I never act that way.
I had no symptoms till week five or so, I only tested because we were going out for cocktails. I think I was 3w5d when I found out so that could be why I didn't feel different yet.
My horrible headache in the parking lot of Dollar Tree was a big red flag. (By the way, those "dollar tree" tests worked fine for me but were light the first few times...) I tested early and got a slight, light positive somewhere in my 3rd week. Then I bought a box of First Response Early Result and it lit up like a christmas tree.
I was having hot flashes and got out of breath really easily. Both of these were similar to my first pregnancy. POAS @ 9 DPO and got a faint BFP. Kept getting darker over the next week!
My first clue was that I was a night owl and was getting tired at 8-9pm. My boobs also hurt a lot more than usual. I still swore I was about to start my period and was just taking a test to just ease my mind and was surprised. I took a dollar store test first and then a few days later I took a clearblue digital.

I'm lurking from 2nd Tri. I knew it was a possibility and thought I had a good idea when ovulation had occurred. (I wasn't charting but I have before so I'm familiar with my body's patterns.) I tested at what I was fairly sure was 10, 11, 13, and 14 dpo. When all those tests were negative and I didn't get my period I figured my body had just not ovulated and my PCOS symptoms were beginning to flare up again. (They had improved since the birth of my son.) On Christmas day I noticed that my breasts were producing milk, where they had mostly dried up from breastfeeding. I thought it must be just a fluke but we decided to test just in case. Sure enough, BFP. I nearly passed out.
Even before i missed my period, i knew on new years eve i felt tired and sick! my feet were very cold even though i put 3 socks on! in my mind i was thinking could i be pregnant? cause my bf and i been trying to conceived! a week and half passed i checked on the day of my period and it came back positive but the positive sign was light it didnt show as much, i checked again a week later it was positive again
I was really tired and my boobs hurt just a couple days in. We had been trying for a year, so I was super excited and took one of the first response digital tests after a few days of feeling crummy. It came up "not pregnant." I was really disappointed and decided it was time to go to the doctor to find out why I wasn't getting pregnant.
A couple weeks later and the day before my doctor's appointment, I was still feeling really tired and my boobs hurt so bad I was wearing my bra to bed. I suddenly realized how long I was feeling bad and that this was way too long to be PMS. I thought how funny it would be to be pregnant when I went to the doctor about not getting pregnant. I had one more digital pregnancy test left and I took it that night. Within about 2 seconds it came up pregnant! I guess I just took the first test too early. I also later found out that the digital tests are not as sensitive as the line tests. If it is early make sure to look at the sensitivity of the test!

I used the EPT tests and they worked well for me.
I took a test.
I used the $1 store tests. Then confirmed with a FRER & a digital.
I knew because my hunger just would not quit and also I was cramping but the cramps were not period cramps.
I used a Clear Blue digital test because I didn't want to have to guess work on those lines. It worked well for me, I had my answer in 3 minutes.

There are several things that made me think...
1. Pains in my cervix, I had these with my first daughter.
2. I didn't "feel" like I was going to start my period.
3. Temp high 13 dpo, an implantation dip about 7 dpo
I tested in the evening about 12 dpo and it was instantly positive.

We were trying and I tested 9DPO.

Did you really? Because with all 3 of my pregnancies I got dizzy and faint at the point of conception.
