Makenna or McKenna

    Love this name ! Its on our short list spelled Makenna. I think it depends on how you pronounce it. I say "ma-kenna" but some people say "mic-kenna."

    Ma-kenna = makenna

    mic-kenna = mckenna

    Makenna. This is my little cousin's name, so the other spelling looks weird to me.

    I have a friend that has a daughter with this name and it's spelled Mackenna.  

    It's NMS, but personally, I prefer it spelled Makena.  At least that's a legitimate name in Hawaiian.

    TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

    FET 4/28/2015 - Transferred 1 M embie. 5/6/15 BFP!

    I'm not a fan of the name, but of the two I'd pick Makenna. McKenna is a surname. Makenna passes for a first name more easily.

    McKenna, definitely.  That's the Irish last name it is.  (I don't like the name, BTW, but I like it even less misspelled.)

    Makenna seems more like a first name to me.  The "Mc" on the other throws me off, like it's a last name.  

    This is exactly what I was going to say.
