ugh, what a beta morning (vent)

went for the beta blood test this AM.

since i live an hour from my RE, i get blood draws at a local clinic at 7:30 AM.

since i live in podunk usa, this clinic will not make appts. and the elderly population of podunk usa starts lining up OUTSIDE when it is 32 degrees with 30 mph winds 20 min BEFORE the doors open, i also have to play this game because...

I HAVE A JOB and if i am not in line with the other crazies then i won't get done until noon.

when i finally get inside, i had a HORRIBLE tech who just barely got into a vein and then proceeds to hit it to make the blood flow better into the tube. Really? When I winced in pain, she assures me that it is just the alcohol stinging. Huh, i have had a bajillion blood draws and it never hurt me before.

MH and I stopped to get a starbucks pepprmint hot chocolate as a reward.

I get to work and need to call my REs office to let them now i had a draw that will be on the noon courier. i also wanted to tell them to call mh with the results bc i have a MAJOR presentation this afternoon and just don't think i can handle the impending bfn.

Guess what?? Their phone lines are out.

    same as blushing - i know it's so difficult, but maybe focusing on work today will help the day pass a little quicker. i hope you get a huge surprise at the end of the day....and can celebrate with a non-alcoholic champagne!!

    i accidentally left my phone at home, probably for the best!

    i just got done teaching and because i LOVE it, it always gets me in a better mood.
