I've been on zofran for 8 days now - 4mg every 6 hours. I'm still getting sick and fee nauseous all day. I'm definitely not throwing up as much as I used to , around 6-10x per day. Is this normal for being on zofran? Or did it completely 'cure' you?

Re: Zofran question
When do you take it? Your first dose I mean? When I was prescribed it the nurse said to take it as soon as I wake up and to not eat or drink anything for at least 20 minutes. I think the problem might be the 4mg. They also told me that once you are in cycle of vomiting the zofran wont help. So if you are still feeling ill and taking it again it might be worthless.
I actually didn't take any of mine because it turned out my vomiting was caused by a stomach virus. And I could handle the nausea enough. So I can't offer any experience. But goodluck I hope you start to feel better.
Wow -- I wasn't getting sick as often as you. I can't imagine 6 to 10 times a day. I'm taking it "as needed", but in my case it seemed to help. I wouldn't say it cured me because there are some days that it just doesn't seem to help, but more than not, it seems to help with a positive outcome.
I'm sorry that you still aren't feeling well. It's definitely no fun.

I am on the pump and still nauseous 24/7. You could ask to go to 8mg since it has seemed to help. Another thing they can do is also give you phenergan with it. Today is the first day I haven't had a stomach ache on top of the nausea in a few weeks. (FX)

I'd ask for the 8mg. I'm taking 4mg every 4 hours and it barely cuts the nausea, I'm still throwing up. When I was on 8mg with my other 2 pregnancies, it really didn't stop the nausea, just stopped the vomiting, but at least it's an improvement!!! Good luck!! This sickness sucks.
