Baby Names

Need girl name suggestions/opinions

  1. Our last name is very similar to "Cusack" (as in John Cusack) but doesn't start with a C.
  2. I really want to use Anne as the MN after my late grandmother.
  3. I really like nicknames if the name is longer and has a good nickname.

My other girls are Allie (Allison Susan) and Tessa (Tessa Marie).  Susan and Marie are family names.  If it's a boy, his name will be Blake James.

But if it's another girl, I'm stuck!

I like:

Jill  - Just really love this name for some reason, but it doesn't work well with Anne. Jill Anne "Cusack".  And no, Jillian Anne... I don't really care for that, I don't think.

Julia - but my husband doesn't care for the nickname Jules, which I LOVE.

Jenna - I like it, but it's very similar sounding to Tessa IMO.

Kendall - runner up for my daughter Tessa. So I'm having difficulty loving it this time since we turned it down once already.  But it does work as Kendall Anne...

Carly - I've LOVED Carly for a long time, but I'm afraid it's too close sounding to "Allie".  Carly Anne does work though...

Elizabeth - beautiful classic name, and flows well as Elizabeth Anne... but I like nicknames, and I'm not sure what nickname I would use...

Other ideas? I'm open to suggestions/thoughts. TIA!

  • Of your choices, I'd go with Elizabeth. You can let the nn come later, after you meet her. There are TONS of nns for Elizabeth. To name a few: Liz, Lizz, Beth, Betsy, Libby, Liza, Elle, Ellie, Betty...

  • Personally, I like Elizabeth from your choices, plus there are many possible nn's from it... I know a Betsy which is cute:)

  • For Carly, you could use Caroline as a formal fn. Caroline Anne, a little "n" heavy but, it works.

    I like Elizabeth Anne:

    Allie, Tessa and Betsy

    Allie, Tessa and Libby

    Allie, Tessa and Beth

    Allie, Tessa and Eliza

    Allie, Tessa and Lisbeth

This! The nn potential for Elizabeth is wonderful.

  • I think Julia is best for your sibset with a runner up of Elizabeth.  Don't really care for the others.
  • I like Jill, but not as much as Jillian, and you said that was out...

I like Betty for Elizabeth, but I'd personally never use Elizabeth because of it`s popularity.

Carly is alright, but I like Carmen SOOO much more.

    Julia is sweet.
