DairyGir (and anyone else)l - a Robeez question

I think that you mentioned finding Robeez for cheap at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Unfortunately, ours doesn't seem to have them. I have looked for a few months. Just wondering around what price range you are finding them. I hate to pay $30 for any baby shoes until I know that he will get use out of them. Are they that wonderful? Do you use socks with them or just barefoot? Thanks to anyone that can give me the scoop on them.

Re: DairyGir (and anyone else)l - a Robeez question

  • We only did junky shoes when Tim was standing somewhere in public places (once he learned to stand) before that he never wore shoes. if he was home he was barefoot.

Once he learned to walk we got him Stride rite

  • I have bought them at Ross before. A couple of times actually. You just have to watch for them they are definitely not there all the time, and when they are, it's usually only one style in several sizes. I know how you feel, I bought DS's 0-6 month size in October and it was the first time I paid full price for them. I think it is worth it. They fit forever. (DS is still wearing that same pair!) I don't buy multiple pairs in a size. I just find a really flexible but cute style and wear them with almost everything. I use them with socks. Hope that helps! I extra like them here (Idaho) in the winter b/c they help keep socks on chubby baby feet, they fit for like 6+ months and work for all the stages.  Hope that helps!

  • I found a few pairs at Home Goods but the sizes and styles were limited.

  • They sell similar ones at Target. I don't know if they are Leather but K has a pair and I love them.    link

  • I bought a pair at TJ Maxx for $15.  I also just got a pair of stride rite pre-walkers on clearance for $7.  Those stores are so hit or miss.  I frequent a number of TJ MAxx/ Marshalls/ Homegoods in my area and always look.  You just never know.  The y have also had them on baby steals before.

  • I am about as cheap as they come and the two baby things I willingly shelled out a ton for were my diaper bag and the Robeez.

They stay on her feet, don't look junky, and seem to give her some support as she stands.

They are worth the price. I bought a new pair but have 2 others my SIL sent me as handmedowns and they still look great.

I do put socks on with them.

  • Thanks, everyone. I have stalked Homegoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls without any luck. (I once saw some girl ones at Homegoods, but that has been all.) I might just buy some online for the right price. They seem like they would be worth it.

  • Nordstorm Rack has them too, sometimes. I've also picked them up on consignment. I got a pair for $1 once at a sale!!! Bobux are really similar too. I love them. DS doesn't leave the house without them. It's really hard for him to get them off, and now that he is crawling they really keeps his socks on and only his shoes get dirty.
