Yarn bombing is hilarious, although I'd never do it myself. I don't have enough free time for that sort of thing. I know of some people who do do it though. The one in the link is amazing though-usually yarnbombing is just a tree cozy, or signpost cozy.
Also, this cracked me up too:
"Linda Arkless, 31, a mother of 12, of Marske, said: 'I think this is amazing - they must have been doing this for weeks. I could never do this myself.' "
12?! At age 31, unless she had multiples, she must have started early.

Clicky
Mmmm...cake!
Sorry! I had the html code around it to make it clicky, but it showed up in the text and I thought it wasn't needed and deleted it. Thanks for clickyifying it.
I love yarn bombing! There are some really creative people who do it here in Denver - my favorites have been when they put legwarmers on the giant, white dancing alien-people outside the performing arts complex, and when they put a giant ball and chain on the enormous blue bear that's inexplicably looking into the convention center. (Denver has some weird installation art - google Blucifer.)
That's crazy about the mother of 12! I'm hoping for either typo or adoption, lol.
