I guess I got it this weekend at my in-laws. I am highly allergic and usually end up having to get a steroid shot to make it go away. Does anyone have an idea if that's an option while KU? I plan to ask my RE on Friday if I can make it that long but so far it has spread from my hand up to my elbow.
For now, I'm trying Calamine lotion. Any other suggestions?
Sincerely yours,
Very Itchy Girl

Re: I have poison ivy :(
Oh no!! You can't catch a break - I'm so sorry! :-(
I've got no ideas for help - can you call your RE's office and ask for advice over the phone?
Me = lean PCOS;DH = poor morphology (3%)
3 IUI/TI cycles = BFN
IVF #1 with ICSI: antagonist protocol = BFFN
IVF #2 with ICSI : Lupron downregulation = BFFN...FML
IVF #3 with ICSI and AH (Antagonist) = IT'S A BOY!!!!
Oh no!!! On top of all your other stresses this hardly seems fair.
We don't have poison ivy here, but we have poison oak, and I get it systemically every.single.time. (Meaning -- I might be exposed on my arm and immediately wash with special soap, but it comes up on my arm AND my butt AND my back.) The last time I had it, I was left with two huge wicked scars on my arm... so I empathize!
Another chronic sufferer told me that there are homeopathic pills that work amazingly well for poison oak and poison ivy. I haven't tried it yet but next time I just might. If the steroids aren't allowed, and neither are any strong antihistamines, maybe you could ask your doctor about that?
I also found that aloe vera, kept really cold in the refrigerator, at least makes you feel a little better for a while.
Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

Thanks ladies! Yep, I'm a hot mess. Initially I thought it was dry skin from the dehydration but it looks just like poison ivy. At least it's a distraction to everything else I have going on.
And Lynda, I think it's spread to my hip too I'm just not sure yet.

Oh NO!!! I am highly allergic to it also and that is why my husband and mom are the ones doing all my gardening this year. Last year when I got it, I was in the middle of a cycle and didn't want to do the steroid. What I did was soak, as often as I could, in warm/hot highly salted water. It make the itching feel better and it also dried it up a lot quicker. The Calamine helped also but I would highly recommend the salt water.
Good Luck! I hope you get some relief soon!
