Pregnant after a Loss

Baby in the 30th percentile - Anyone else?

HI All,

I know it is a little bit ridiculous, but I'm freaking out slightly because the high risk OB told me our baby was in the 30th percentile. DH and I are both 6' tall - our DD1 is in the 90th percentile and was throughout my pregnancy. I'm just slightly freaked out that this little girl is so much smaller. DH and I both have smaller people on each of our family trees - so I guess it is okay.

A 30th percentile baby is still healthy.... right?

 Ugh...PAL panic moment.

  • Thanks! She was in the 60% percentile during the A/S scan. Now she is at the 30th percentile. They spent extra time scanning my placenta and umbilical cord and said everything looked okay - so it could be just the variation that you are talking about.

  • Our LO was in the 31st percentile at the last growth u/s I got.  DS was born in the 40th for weight and 90th for height and DH is skinny and 5'7 and I'm curvy and 5'2, so you really never know what you're going to get.  :)
