What is a good favor for a shower?

I offered to help do the favors for my friend who is hosting our shower (and doing everything else).

I would like to make something editable and buy favor boxes or use cellophane bags and then make cute labels.

I was randomly thinking carmel apples, just because they are fun and people like them.

Other thoughts? The simpler the better and anything that could be done in advance is always good.

    How many people are going to the shower? My cousin did carmel apples for her wedding (so about 80 people) and they were a TON of work to do for that many people. They are fun and super cute if there aren't that many people though.

     Another option is homemade truffles. They are easy and you yummy and you can just put them in a cute favor box. My favs are oreo truffles, one pkg cookies, one pkg cream cheese...pulse together in a food processor until combined....roll into balls and cover in white and mike chocolate (which ever you prefer) super each, quick, and REALLY yummy!!

    Great idea! Can you refridge/freeze them in advance?

    It is going to be somewhere around 25-30 people.

    yea I normally make them around the beg of december and freeze them..take them out a few days before christmas and bring them to christmas with me! they freeze great! :)

    Mmmmm orea truffles!  I love them, especially with white chocolate.  They would make a cute shower favor.  If you a Dollar Tree locally, you can get baby themed cellophane bags for cheap.  I saw them 20 for $1 and they had baby blocks and little ducks all over them.

    my sister makes delicious and super cute sugar cookies just like these she just made for someone.   she is going to make blue elephant's with polka dots for my shower favors.

    We did bags of little bags of coffee.  I made really cute labels that said "The Smith's Have a Baby Brewing"  and my name and shower date on them.  People loved them.  I bought little 1/4 lb bags on the internet and filled with my favorite coffee.

    When my girlfirends threw my shower for DS it was a baseball themed shower (I am a big yankees fan) so the favors were boxes of Cracker Jacks and packs of Big League chew! It was adorable!

    My sister got these cute favor boxes for my shower.  They had a pregnant woman's silhouette on the side and sad "Ready to Pop."  She filled them with either cheese or butter popcorn and wrapped them in cellophane tied with a ribbon.  They were really cute.  :)
