My mother is doing the turkey this year... for our family that means ordered from grocery store in advance, cleaned and dressed on Wednesday and cooked on Thursday.
Traditional side dishes for MY family include: mashed potatoes, stale bread stuffing (recipe on Bell's box), corn, greens of some sort (usually spinach) with garlic and mushrooms, sweet potatoes and PIE!
I was most looking forward to seeing my uterine squatter... but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing niece/nephew... whole family really... haven't seen anyone much lately.
We are not traveling for Christmas this year either... I told everyone if they wanted to see us, they had to come here. (No one is of course, but that's okay.)
Re: My pw answers
I like veggies but I don't need them taking up space in my stomach while I'm trying to gorge on turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes.
Oh... I know... stick that green bean caserole with the french onions up someone's ass... perferably the person who insisted on making it.
Our main meal is in the afternoon... 1 or 2ish... then we have sandwiches in the early evening.
Or pie.
I was supposed to be contributing a newborn... right now it looks like I'll be contributing my house, kitchen and dining room table.
/tp has no intentions of doing anything else
We will watch every game broadcast in our area.
(Which reminds me, I need to pick my teams.)
No movies on Thanksgiving here.
I LOVE GRAVY!!! (made from scratch of course)
On.everything.

cranberries too...
grace... I wish... my family has taken to the whole "I'm grateful for..."
While I'm grateful for MANY things... I don't enjoy the public forum.
do you go around the table and say what you are thankful for?
ooops that last question was for shopping... but the answer is still the same.
I really only buy stuff for others anyway.
Under normal circumstances... I would consider starting to decorate the day after Thanksgiving... not sure if we're even decorating this year.
Depends if we're even home this weekend.
I'm not a big fan of Christmas... too much commercialization.
I do enjoy/have enjoyed the family time.
Am I going to get you something?
I already leave my blinds up when I change... is there anything else you would like?
Oh wait, that was Thanksgiving.
For Christmas... hmmm... can't think of anything unusual.
If church is a regular part of our routine, yes.
Otherwise no. I hate people who only go on Christmas (or Easter).
