IUI Success Stories?

Hi all. Just had my first IUI this morning and I'm looking for some encouragement/insight/random statistics I can analyze frantically. If you had success with IUI would you please answer this poll? Thanks so much.

Grads welcome.

What number IUI did you get your first BFP? Or any subsequent ones too.

At your last monitoring appointment, how many follicles did you have and what were their sizes?

How many hours after your trigger was your IUI?

How many motile sperm did you have post wash?

IUI #1 worked for us.

I had one mature follie at just under 18mm and then either one or two stragglers at 13mm-ish, if I remember right.

36 hrs from trigger to IUI

Don't remember the sperm #'s

I had (surprisingly) no symptoms except nausea and being hungry a lot, but I attributed those to the trigger shot and clomid more than any potential BFP. It took me over a dozen tests and my nurse telling me that I was "100% pregnant" before I believed it, LOL.

I got pregnant on my first IUI, but m/c at 7 weeks. I got pregnant again on my 3rd IUI (both with Femara and Ovidrel trigger) and will be 24 weeks tomorrow.

What number IUI did you get your first BFP? Or any subsequent ones too. 1 and 3

At your last monitoring appointment, how many follicles did you have and what were their sizes? 3 follies both times, recent IUI were 21, 19, and 18, plus a straggler at 14 that we didn't count

How many hours after your trigger was your IUI? I triggered Monday around 10, and had IUI Wednesday at 10, so 48.

How many motile sperm did you have post wash? I'm pretty sure it was around 5m

Symptoms during 2WW? None at all. I was 100% convinced it didn't work, and had normal AF cramps the 2 days leading up to my BFP. The line on the HPT was so faint I almost threw it away.

My son was an IUI success. It was the second IUI, but first time with Follistim and Menopur. The first IUI was with Clomid and Clomid sucks.

Trigger to IUI was 36 hours. I had 4 follicles but I think only one was really mature.

My DH does not have male infertility, so he had a really high count post wash--86 million. 90 percent were motile.

What number IUI did you get your first BFP? IUI #2

At your last monitoring appointment, how many follicles did you have and what were their sizes? Becasue our plan was to move to IVF the next cycle and we wanted to save as much insurance coverage as possible, we didn't have a mid-cycle u/s for my 2nd u/s. The previous cycle I had 2 18.5 mm follicles at my mid-cycle u/s. Since my RE knew that I responded to the meds, he said the mid cycle u/s was optional.

How many hours after your trigger was your IUI? We didn't trigger. With Clomid my RE timed IUI's after a +OPK, so mine was 24 hours after my +OPK.

How many motile sperm did you have post wash? For IUI #1 we had 46 million post was with 76% motility (BFN) . For IUI#2 we had 12.5 million post wash with 65% motility (BFP).

Symptoms during 2WW? None. Based on my lack of symptoms and my low Progesterone levels at 7 dpo (6.3), even my RE assumed IUI#2 was a bust and was making plans to start our IVF protocol as soon as my period arrived.

IUI #4 worked for us

I had 2 follies at 17 and 19

My office triggered me 36hrs before the IUI

On #4 I believe the count was 110million post wash

I had also went to acupuncture. The plus to acupunture was that it complete made all pms symptoms disappear for me. I had sore breasts and some cramping right before we got the BFP. This had me on high alert since the months leading up to IUI #4 I had zero symptoms.

I got my first and only positive on IUI number 5. That doesn't count cancelled cycles, of which I had many...2 years of trying netted me 5 IUIs.

I believe I had 3 follicles--a 22, a 17 and I forget the other one.

I did the trigger 35 hours or so before the IUI. The timing really ended up not mattering so much. I tried to time it to 36 hours exactly but the IUI times were always either early or later than the appointment times. They never got me back there at exactly 36 hours post-trigger. I really worried about this a lot. I shouldn't have.

I don't remember how many motile sperm. It was thawed after having been frozen, so it wasn't amazing, but it was good enough.

The only symptom I had was at the very end of the 2WW I could have drawn an outline of my uterus on my stomach. I felt it with every step. It was the strangest thing. I had felt every symptom in the book...my PCOS and the hormones and everything combined to give me false pregnancy symptoms for every cycle, and different ones each time it seemed!! This one was weird and I hadn't ever heard anyone mention it before. It's the only one I really remember.

I got a BFP with my 2nd unmedicated IUI, but had a c/p. (I did 2 IVF's after that - I am DOR and we have MFI issues as well). Then we did 2 more unmedicated IUI's and I got pregnant on the 2nd one again, but had another c/p. Then we did 2 IUI's with follistim and I got pregnant on the 2nd one again - I am now expecting twins.

At my monitoring appt. I had 1 17 and I think 2 15's or a 15 and a 14.

IUI was 36 hours post trigger, give or take a few.

With the three IUI's that worked - the first one we had 4.5 million post-wash; then 12 million post-wash and again 12 million post wash.

With this pregnancy I had less symptoms than I had all the other times (I have had 5 losses total). My boobs weren't even really sore, not really much cramping or twinging. I was sure I was out and it hadn't worked. I tested the trigger out - 2 days apart and the line was darker, so that's how I knew. I was really surprised.

IUI #1 ended in a c/p. IUI #4 got me this BFP. This was my first cycle with injects. Also different were ganirelix to supress my usually too-early surge, heparin, IVIG. I did acupuncture from the start of fertility treatments.

My last monitoring appt I had 4 follies that were likely to be mature. Don't remember their sizes (I think 17 and above) but one was fuzzy and RE didn't think it contained an egg.

IUI was 39 or 40 hours after trigger.

I think we had 16 mil sperm post wash.

Symptoms: AF like cramps, sore boobs. Sore boobs went away after a couple of weeks, and the cramps continue every day.

I promise you there is hope! I went directly to IVF which ended up in a chemical pregnancy. We decided to try IUI while we saved for another round of IVF. IUI #2 was a success and I really believe it was because I did IUI #1 and #2 back to back (didn't skip a month)

My Dr only does a Day 10 U/S but then I had a 15 and a 14 follicle and some other small ones. I assume they were around 20 and 19 by the time we did the IUI. There were a total of 8 follices (I only had 5 follicles on IUI #1)

IUI was 36 hours after trigger. Husband has powersperm at like 65 million.

I had some cramping and was convinced my period was starting.
