we struggled with Cassidy's reflux for a while. ?it peaked and was at it's worst at 3-4 months adjusted. ?it has gotten SLOWLY better since then, and solid foods have helped. ?she's still little...feeding has always been an issue with her. ?the GI doc said often times "food refusal" comes with babies who haven been through the constant vomiting and pain that she experienced. ?she LOVES to feed herself. ?it will get easier for you and the boys. ?the spring will bring a new sense of freedom. ?the boys will be much older and much stronger. ?take it day by day, then look back in month chunks...and you'll see the progress. ?it won't get easier overnight, but it will get easier. how were your pro pics yesterday? ?did you have them done? ?congrats on the decrease in oxygen. ?yet another mini-milestone. ?
Re: *~*~*~sweater*~*~*~*
omg...your post saved me from tears this morning...well a lot of tears anyway.
The daily grind gets to be a lot sometimes. He refluxes and vomits constantly. Our goal is 3 months to get him to completely bottle-feed so we can have the g-tube removed. I pray everyday.
Getting the O2 off during the day has helped my spirits...like you said, gives us a sense of him moving forward. It's hard to watch his brother do so well, while he's less mobile and vomiting.
Can't wait to see what spring brings
thanks sweets
