My mother is super excited about her first grandchild, but I have no idea where she gets this stuff from.
Today's convo about my 1st OB appt on Wed.:
Ma: I think you'll be surprised, she'll probably tell you that you're a little further along than you thought. I bet you're about 10 weeks. (I'm 8)
Me: Ma, I've shown you my chart, and I was THERE during the conception, I'm pretty sure about how far along I am.
Ma: I think you'll be surprised when you call me and tell me you're about 10 weeks.
Me: Well, that would mean I got pregnant while on my period, and we didn't even have sex that week.
Ma: You'll see.
Me: What grounds do you base this on?
Ma: I just have a hunch.
Me: Well, if you're right, we'll have to call the newspapers and tell them about the 2nd immaculate conception.
Ma: Ok!

BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence
Oh I can join in here! My mom is super excited. She has 21 grand kids but the youngest is 8. She is ready to buy everything and keeps telling me not to take anything used. I just can't go there yet. Maybe once I'm further along. She asks me everyday how I feel but no answer is right, if I say fine she worries it is a mc. If I say sick or tired she laughs and says get used to it. Glad I love her!

BFP 3.12.12 !!!!!! DUE 11.22.12 April 10th - fateful ultrasound found pg was CSection Scar Pg. No heartbeat on April 23rd led to D and C, which led to life saving emergency hysterectomy May 7th 2012.
Love this - particularly because we are all about to become moms (for those who aren't already) and one day our kids will say this about us!

My MIL believes she dreams of babies at the time of conception and knows the sex yet I have not received a detailed report about our conception...;P

Things to avoid during pregnancy: Eye contact with cats. Cats will suck the burgeoning life right out of you, using their infamous feline mind-powers. Avert your eyes, and move along.
FACT: 1 in 10 people are said to be a carrier of Listeria. Therefore you should avoid all shopping malls, grocery stores and busy street corners for the duration of your pregnancy. Or microwave anyone you contact until steaming, just to be safe.
