Did you go on antibiotics for your FET?

I took antibiotics for my fresh cycle and now they want both of us to take them again for this FET. DH has already started his, but I cringe every time I look at my bottle. I HATE antibiotics and only take them when REALLY necessary. I had a bad experience with a German antibiotic some years ago which left me fighting chronic yeast infections for about a year or two. Anyway, I already think I might be getting a yeast infection from the mock transfer (somewhere between the betadine and the saline it changed my privates and my privates are fighting back). I am reluctant to take them.

So my question: does EVERYONE take them for an FET? Can I sort of just not take them??

no idea about the anti-b's, but have you tried Tea Tree Oil for your lady bits?

I swear by it (quiet FirsttoGo, lol) - anti-b and anti-fungal...

take a clean travel size bottle and put about 1-2 tsp in it, fill with water and shake before use. Spritz daily or BID PRN.... it should feel cool, but never sting. (dilute if stings) I used to get chronic funkiness until I use this.

I find TTO even at Walgreens, Whole Foods, etc. just get the $10 bottle of JUST oil, it will last you forever. Bug bites, itches. everything!

I have to knock on wood because I have not had a yeast infection in a really long time. But after that damn anti-b in Germany, I've never been the same and can get really sensitive at the slightest change in my pH. What finally cured me was boric acid put into little capsules and shoved up there. But, I think I might have to have some TTO on hand just in case. But would you take the anti-b's?? They said it is standard protocol for any subclinical, asymptomatic infections that might be brewing.

yeh, I hate anti-b's and I'd take it for a FET. You never know. Check the dose, perhaps you can do a little less, but yeh, I'd take it.

No, I didn't take antibiotics for my FET. When I asked why I did for my fresh but not frozen I was told the anti-b were only needed if they were doing an egg retrevial (that is my clinics protocol). But, when I was in the hospital bleeding at 7 weeks they gave me ant-b in an IV because I had a UTI (I had no idea). I ended up with the worst yeast infection! Ugh!

Yes, I did take antibiotics for both FET rounds. They made me sick as hell too. I learned that when they say to take with food... they mean it!

I didn't take antibiotics with my FET.

Eat yogurt every day or take lactobacillus/acidophilus supplements!

I am in the middle of an FET cycle and they did have me and DH take antiboitics. I did not really want to take them either but I did. I am hoping I do not get a YI : (
