November 2012 Moms

Okay spill (This will probably apply more to moms on baby 2+)

Has anyone broken out their prego pants yet? Today I just cannot get over the awful bloat and my regular pants are oh-so restricting, so I pulled my maternity jeans out of my closet. I feel a million times better but oh man does that waistband accentuate the middle area. If this is a sign of what's to come, I will be enormous come November.

Things to avoid during pregnancy: Eye contact with cats. Cats will suck the burgeoning life right out of you, using their infamous feline mind-powers. Avert your eyes, and move along.

FACT: 1 in 10 people are said to be a carrier of Listeria. Therefore you should avoid all shopping malls, grocery stores and busy street corners for the duration of your pregnancy. Or microwave anyone you contact until steaming, just to be safe.

  • Not yet. Most of my pants are low rise though. When I start to get a muffin top, I will switch to maternity pants

  • I am getting reeeeaaaally close.  I have severe bloat--I think both from pregnancy and due to IVF.  At my ultrasound, my doc said my ovaries were still very large.  I'm not quite to the maternity pants stage, but between twins and a crazy bloat that just will not quit, I don't think they'll be too far down the road.

Ive personally always had a heard time keeping maternity pants on... The band was never tight enough to keep my pants up. I always felt like I needed a belt! The Bella band did wonders for me. I always wore my band rolled down under my belly though, not sure if that had anything to do with it. It made my belly itch if I had it up and over, ick

I haven't worn them yet, I am wearing a lot of yoga and sweat pants right now.  I have one pair of jeans that fit comfortably so I wear those when I go out.  But will be getting the maternity bin down from the attic this week.

  • Oh yeah even my regular lounge pants waistbands feel constricting. I need some maternity yoga pants and my life will be complete.

  • I have lost 8 pounds since conceiving and even though I have serious bloat, I got my pants. I do have some pants and shorts I keep around "just in case" I ever get skinny again. I wore the shirts with a Bella band a week and a half ago to a baseball game. I wore a maternity dress yesterday because it was pretty. And comfy. But I will break out those maternity clothes as soon as I feel the slightest tightening. I hate tight pants.

  • I'm due in November and am a little over 9 weeks. I am overweight to begin with, but I've lost 35 pounds in the past year or so and have baggy pants in my closet, so they're still fitting fine. And, I'm pretty sure I have no bump yet... just fat. Wink But, I'm in denial about gaining weight and so I've not even purchased a belly band yet, let alone maternity clothes. I'm starting to get a little worried that I'm going to wake up one morning and nothing is going to fit, but I think I'll put it off for a couple more weeks... Hahah

  • I am seriously considering purchasing some soon. My cheeseburger pudge is turning into a baby bump!! My pants are getting snug. I definitely have the red marks on my stomach where my pants are digging in, and I'd rather not use my Be Band because when I sit down, it rides up and my pants slide down and HELLO world, here's my underwear! Embarrassed So I may have to invest in some preggy pants soon.

Although right now, my bigger concern is bras. I have been wearing a sports bra for the past few days because my regular bras are CUTTING into me. Ouch.

Yup!! Started wearing them this weekend. I agree, it's so much more comfortable. I think that is why I feel like crap all day. I was forcing myself to wear jeans with a rubber band and all it did was put pressure on the bloat which made me feel sick. My husband kept asking me why I insisted on fighting it. Maybe because I know it's not baby belly that is showing, just puffed out fat! Either way, I am sticking with preggo pants!

  • I gave up on trying to wear my work pants- I could, it just really hurt where the waist band was.

I am still in my regular jeans, the lower rise hit below where all my blump is.

  • I just bought a pair of maternity capris. I mostly wear leggings and dresses though so there is not a big problem with my pants fitting.
