Any name that is extremely trendy or misspelled. Changing the spelling of a trendy name does not make it sound any different out loud. Plus, I know this is judgy, but when I see a youneek name it just makes me think the parents are either uneducated or really young.
I agree with all the above, except of course Destiny, because that's my name! Ouch. I've always loved my name, and personally have never met a stripper named Destiny Maybe I need to get out more.
Back in my undergrad yeard i used to keep a kid named Ayland (pronounced island). I also used keep triplets where the 2 boys were named Sterling & Sabine. I do not like these "unique" names.

In general, I love old-fashioned/traditional names and hate invented/youneek names.
I also hate it when a kid gets a name that's really a nickname, instead of a real name - for example, officially naming your kid Callie instead of naming your kid Callista or Caroline or Calliope or whatever Callie is actually short for. I feel bad for the kid because they're going to grow up one day and have a name that sounds like a perpetual five-year-old.
All of this! Also, DH has encountered some LOVELY names in his days in the FD...my favorite one being Le-a...no that's not a type-o. It's prounced Ledasha...i'm not lying.

S/O Nevaeh, I was introduced to this name because it was the name of one of the chicks on Flavor Of Love. Never a good sign. ::vom::
Uh, this is clearly one Klassy lady.

I know I'm going to be in the minority on this one (maybe I should save it for a Thursday UO instead), but I am sick of "Grace" and "Rose" in the middle name spot for girls (unless used for a namesake). Both are beautiful names, but I think they are too played out now and will be very dated in a few years' time. I see them as today's "Ann" or "Marie."
My name is Grace and my mom's name is Rose lol so if we have a daughter we plan on using Rose as her middle name but I totally get what you mean when you compare it with Ann or Marie. Most of the women I know who are my age have one of those middle names.
I don't like any of the trendy names or parents who try too hard to give their child a unique name or the use of last names as first names. DH and I have traditional names and want to give our children classic, traditional names.
And, like many of you, Nevaeh is one of the names I can stand the least. Ugh.

Ditto about the names of people I don't like. I also hate the really common family names like John or James. I love names that are traditional, but not common, like Declan, Liam, Trevor, Percival, and Lucian for boys.

Like most here, I also HATE the made-up or youneek spelling of names, especially the "trendy" names.
This is probably an UO, but I also can't stand names that are often last names, like Cooper, Riley, Harper, Taylor, even Connor. Not sure why, but I hate them. I also don't like last names that are usually first names, although I know people don't usually get to pick the last name. And its even worse when the first name is a last name, and the last name is a first name (for example, Harrison Thomas).
My daughter has a unique spelling and I love it - it's Kelsy (instead of Kelsey). I also love boy names for girls...but DH doesn't so we won't use one. All of the names I hate are because of a person with that name or names that should end in y but end in i instead (think Wendi).

Unfortunately it's true--my best friend works in a children's hospital and you wouldn't believe the terrible names she sees, including Le-a.

I agree. Some people just ruin a name.
